Conca de barberaThe DO Navarra wine region is situated in the province of Navarra and covers an area of 18,500 hectares. The vineyards are on the lower slopes of the Pyrenees as they descend towards the basin of the river Ebro.

The climate in Navarra is continental (long, hot, dry summers and cold winters). The northern sub-zones have a dry continental climate with Atlantic influences and with only moderate heat during the period when the grapes are ripening, as the nights start to get cooler during the month of August.

Empordà

EMPORDÀ

The DO Empordà (Costa Brava) wine region is situated in the province of Girona and covers an area of 2,000 hectares. It extends from the town of Figueres northwards to the French border and the French wine-making regions of Banyuls and Côtes du Roussillon.

The DO is crossed by the rivers Muga, Llobregat and Manol which flow eastwards to the Mediterranean Sea.
